Companies applying for an authorisation under REACH need to provide information on potential alternatives to the Annex XIV substances they use.

This information (technical functions, sectors of use, most promising alternatives, reason for rejection of the alternative, etc.) is compiled in a table available on the ECHA website (Main alternatives to harmful substances subject to REACH authorisation - ECHA (europa.eu)). Alternatives to phthalates, alkylphenol ethoxylates and PMT/vPvM are included.

The table accessible from the substitution site corresponds to the version in force on 01/09/2023.
