Addition of the DCHP to the list of substances of very high concern (SVHC)

The Member State Committee of ECHA supported on 17th April the proposal to identify dicyclohexyl phthalate (DCHP) as a substance of very high concern (SVHC) due to its classification as a toxic substance for reproduction category 1B and to its endocrine disrupting properties with probable serious effects to human health.

Under the European REACH regulation, Sweden submitted a proposal in February 2016 to identify DCHP (dicyclohexyl phthalate) as a substance of very high concern (*) because of its classification as a toxic substance for reproduction category 1B and of its endocrine disrupting properties with probable serious effects to human health.

The Member State Committee of ECHA supported this proposal on 17th April, that could lead again to its inscription on the “Authorisation list”.
