33rd Annual Vinyl Compounders Conference and Vinyl Sustainability Summit

The Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) and the Vinyl Sustainability Council (VSC) will host the 33rd annual Vinyl Compounders Conference and Vinyl Sustainability summit from 4 to 6 December 2023 in Austin (USA).

2023 International Symposium on Alternatives Assessment

The Association for the Advancement of Alternatives Assessment (A4) is hosting a symposium on October 25-26, 2023 on the topic of substitution of toxic chemicals of concern with the aim of highlighting:

International Conference on Plastic Use in Agriculture and Plasticizer

The International Conference on the Use of Plastics in Agriculture and Plasticisers will be held in Montreal (Canada) from 3 to 4 August 2023.

Polymers in flooring

Innovations in the field of polymer flooring, with potential alternatives to phthalates and bisphenols, will be presented for residential, commercial, industrial, sanitary, sports and leisure applications.

Polymers in cables

The Polymers in Cables conference will be held in Philadelphia (USA) from the 20^th to 21^th June 2023. During this event will be presented innovations in the field of polymeric materials to produce cables (and potentially phthalate and bisphenol substitute additives).

List of SVHC: addition of two bisphenols, two PFAS and one phthalate

The list of substances of very high concern (SVHC) or candidate substances for authorisation includes since 17 January 2023 nine additional substances, including : 2,2',6,6'-tetrabromobisphenol A, bisphenol S, bis(2-ethylhexyl)-tetrabromophthalate, perfluoroheptanoic acid and its salts and the reaction mass of octafluoro-4-(1,1,1,2,3,3,3-heptafluoropropan-2-yl)morpholine and octafluoro-4-(heptafluoropropyl)morpholine.

The 4th Annual PVC Compounding & Production Cycle Forum will be held in Rome (Italy) from 19 to 20 January 2023. The aim of this event is to review future trends in PVC formulation (including bio-based additives to replace phthalates and bisphenols).
