PVC 2017

The PVC 2017 forum will take place from 25^th to 27^th February in Brighton (United Kingdom). Professionals of the PVC sector will be present, including producers / distributors of phthalates-free plasticizers (EASTMAN, PERSTORP, ...).

REACH Regulation: addition of seven phthalates to the List of Substances Subject to Authorization

In December 2016, a majority of EU Member States voted to approve the addition of the following seven phthalates to the List of Substances Subject to Authorization under REACH Regulation: diisopentylphthalate, 1,2-benzenedicarboxylic acid di-C6-8-branched alkyl esters C7-rich, 1,2-benzenedicarboxylic acid, di-C7-11-branched and linear alkyl esters, 1,2-benzenedicarboxylic acid, dipentylester, branched and linear, bis(2-methoxyethyl) phthalate, dipentylphthalate, n-pentyl-isopentylphthalate.

Two phthalates identified as substances to be included in the List of Substances Subject to Authorization under REACH Regulation.

On 10 November, ECHA recommended the inclusion of dihexyl phthalate (DIHP) and the isomeric mixture of dihexyl phthalate in the Annex XIV of the REACH Regulation.

Publication of an ANSES report on alternatives to phthalates in toys and equipments made in plastic for children under three years of age.

As part of an expert assessment published on October 2016 on toys and equipments made in plastic, ANSES identified alternatives to phthalates in toys that can be mouthed by children under three years of age.

PVC Formulation 2017

AMI¹'s 9^th international PVC Formulation 2017 will take place from 27 February to 1 March in Düsseldorf in Germany.

Among the conferences proposed on this occasion, two will be about plasticizers in the field of flexible PVC.

PACKAGING INNOVATION 2017 – Birmingham (United Kingdom)

The appointment "Packaging Innovations" will be held in conjunction with the “Empack” and “Label & Print” salons in Birmingham (01 & 02 March 2017).

On the occasion of this salon, international manufacturers present their latest trends and innovations in printing material, sustainable packaging, materials, design, machinery, equipment...

During the salon, will be held conferences dedicated to the pharmaceuticals and to beverages.

PAPERWORLD in Frankfurt (Germany)

Paperworld will begin late January in Frankfurt. Professional sectors stationery, office supplies and school supplies will be present (including thermal paper producers / distributors).

CFIA – Rennes (France)

In the framework of the CFIA (Carrefour of Food Industry Suppliers) which will be held in Rennes (France) from 7 to 9 March 2017, the food manufacturers will have the opportunity to meet suppliers involved in every step of the transformation process: intermediate food products & ingredients, equipments and processes, packaging.

In addition, through events and conferences, the CFIA will propose a transversal vision of the agri-food sector.
